How do I book a Meru Cab?

You can book Meru cabs from our Meru App for current as well as advance bookings up to 30 days. For current bookings, just enter the drop location, select a cab and click on 'Book' for confirming the ride. Once the booking is confirmed, the reference number is displayed. Chauffeur details are then accessed by tapping on ‘”Track my cab” which appears at the bottom of the screen.

In case of advance booking after entering the drop location, click on the "now" button just beside the pickup location to select the slot for booking. The confirmation is given right away and cab details are send 20 minutes before the pick-up time.

Can I hail a Meru cab on the road?

Of course. If Meru Cab is not occupied or if the cab driver is not assigned any trip, the driver will be more than happy to get you on board.

What are the timings for the Meru Service?

Meru Services are available round the clock.

Can I cancel a booking made?

To cancel the booking on Meru Cabs App, please visit 'Upcoming Bookings' list on 'Bookings' section. (Menu-Bookings-Upcoming Bookings-Cancel). You can also cancel the Booking via Call Centre and through our Meru's Website. Please tell us as soon as you reasonably can - that you would like to cancel a booking so that we can avoid a Meru reporting to you, when you don't need it.

How do I pay after the completion of my trip? OR Can I make payment via card or wallet?

Meru accepts both Cash and Cashless payments i.e. you can pay via Cash as well as via Mobile Wallet after completion of your trip with Meru. For Wallet Payments, Load your Wallet at Payments Section (Citrus, MobiKwik or Paytm) and once the ride is completed the applicable trip amount will be directly deducted from your respective chosen Wallet.

Which of my wallets will get debited every time I take a ride?

You can sign into more than one wallet in the Meru Cabs App and make one of the wallets as your default wallet. Every time you take a ride, your default wallet will be debited at the end of the journey. If you want to change the default, you can always select another wallet provider before starting the trip. If you don't have sufficient cash in your default wallet, please recharge it before the journey is over.

How to start using Wallet via Payments Section? OR How do I use mobile wallet to make payment?

To start using the Wallet feature on our mobile app, you just need to download Meru Cabs App, log in & go for Payments option in the main Menu. You can choose any of the mobile wallets (Citrus / MobiKwik / Paytm) and top it up using Credit/Debit card or Net Banking. (Mobile App > Log in > Main Menu > Payments > Citrus Login > Top Up)

Can I make a partial payment with my wallet?

No, you will either have to pay the full amount by mobile wallet or through cash. Ensure that your default wallet has sufficient balance before the journey ends. Partial payment from the Wallet is not allowed for verification purposes (multiple payment modes for a single trip many a time results in confusion and becomes a hassle for both, us and the customer)

Can I transfer money from one wallet to another?

No, you cannot transfer money from one wallet to another in Payments option.

Can I make partial payments through multiple wallets?

No. If you don't have sufficient funds in any one of your wallets, you will have to pay in cash.

Can I pay using a debit or a credit card?

We don't have any option to pay directly via debit or a credit card, but with few simple steps you can load your wallet using Credit/Debit card and start using Meru's Multiple Wallet feature for all your rides (Mobile App > Log in > Main Menu > Payments > Citrus/Paytm/MobiKwik Login > Top Up)

Do I have to pay toll charge when I travel through Meru?

Yes, you will be paying 'Toll charge'- at the actual, when you are crossing the toll post while travelling through Meru. However, in case you have booked a Meru & the cab is crossing the toll post while coming to pick you up, then you need not pay the toll charges.

Will I get a printed receipt for the amount paid?

Of course you will. You just need to register your email id with us to ensure that you receive the trip receipt immediately on your email ID at the end of every trip without having to follow up for the same. You may also view your trip receipts (only belonging to app bookings) on the app in Past Bookings Section and email them (Menu-Bookings-Past Bookings-See/Email).

In which cities is the Meru Service currently available?

The MERU cab service is now available in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Vadodara, Surat, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Mysore, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Indore, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Kochi, Lucknow and Tirupati. We expect to start operations in other major cities soon.

What are the services offered by Meru?

Meru provides complete passenger transportation solutions with its fleet of Lite, Comfort, EVGO, 6Plus, Glyd, 6Pro.

It offers its cab services across 24 major cities, for intra-city & Inter-city travel needs. All the cabs under Meru brand, offer services strictly as per billing system & charge for actual distance travelled and actual wait time. We are authorized taxi service providers from major airports like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. We also have MeruBiz that provide end-to-end solution for corporate needs.

What is the fare that I will be charged?

We charge fare basis the actual distance travelled in kilometres and the actual wait time in minute. The fares are city specific and are in line with the fare guidelines prescribed by the Regional Transport Authority/State Transport Authority, wherever applicable.

Meru believes in fixed and transparent pricing policy.

Apart from rate per km, will I be charged for entire trip time also?

No, we don't charge for the entire trip Travel Time or Ride Time charge. Apart from rate per km, Meru charges only for the waiting time i.e. the actual time for which the cab was been kept for waiting.

How do I use promo code / coupon code?

The promo/coupon code will be applicable as per the terms & conditions of the respective offers. Click on 'Book' tab and choose to 'Apply coupon'. From the available list of the coupons, select the applicable one or enter a code manually to avail the discounts.

What do I do if I have left something behind in a Meru?

Please call our Customer Service Centre at 4422 4422 (Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Vadodara, Surat, Pune), 4422 4422 (Jaipur) and 3399 3399 (Kolkata and Lucknow) and give us the details of the cab number, date and time of travel (all this information will be there on your printed fare receipt / e-receipt) and we will help you track down your missing item. Meru chauffeurs are trained to report items left behind in a cab. So if you tell us the details of your commute, it makes the job easy for us to link you with your missing item!

What are the images I see below the cabs on the Home screen?

At the end of the home screen, there are visual banners to display the latest information about our services and exclusive offers, clicking on which displays the detailed information of the respective banner.

What are MeruSpot?

MeruSpot are basically the 'Hub of cabs'. You can now navigate to the nearest MeruSpot from within the app to get assured cabs at discounted fares.
