We have a couple of routes from Madurai to Munnar. The best route is via national highway 85, which is the fastest. The distance between the places by this route is 160 kms. You should reach your destination in five hours. There are a couple of viewpoints along the way. You can make stops and enjoy nature, and refreshments.

The other route is via the Munnar- Udumalpat road. This route passes through the Annamalai Tiger reserve, though tiger spotting is rare, you may spot other animals.
