The road from Pune to Shirdi is very straightforward. It is not that long a route and you can travel in comfort. First you need to get to National Highway 60. Once you get there, you need to reach the Udapur Muthalane road located in Vaiduwadi. Once you drive on this route for about three hours, you need to continue till the Airport road till you reach National Highway 160. This will take you to Shirdi.
The best time to take a one way cab to Shirdi is between October and March. This is when the weather is dry and sunny. The temperature drops between December and January and fog gathers in and near Shirdi. This can make driving difficult.
There are two major routes that you can take when travelling between Pune and Shirdi. Both routes are similar in terms of time taken to reach the destination. The more popular route is via the National Highway 60. The other route is via the Pune Ahmednagar Highway.
